The Bush hut at Upper KamwetiBush-hut

At about 8km north of the lodge there is a single hut, build on the foundations of another guesthouse from the colonial era. One can reach it via a forest track, a 2 hour walk, or on horseback. It is located on the boundary of the bamboo forest. One has a spectacular view of the peeks and the forest below.

The hut is self-contained, consists of one room with a large fire place, a small kitchen and a collapsible double bed. The hut is fully furnished and the kitchen equipped with all the necessary utensils. There is a toilet and shower with hot water if the fire is on in the fireplace.

A caretaker lives on the premises who can cook for you, light the fire, take you on walks in the area and take care of the horses during your stay.
